About Runestone Tarot

Runestone Tarot is a digital tarot practice created by Runestone Labs. It combines a complete 78-card deck, original card artwork, traditional symbolism, daily readings, journaling, and structured AI-assisted interpretations. The goal is not to automate certainty. It is to give people a calm, useful space to notice patterns, name tensions, and ask better questions of themselves.

The experience is designed for different levels of familiarity. Someone drawing a first card can follow clear meanings and reflection prompts, while an experienced reader can work with reversals, positional relationships, card combinations, and larger spreads. Accounts are optional for an initial reading. People who want continuity can save readings, keep journal reflections, and build a personal grimoire of cards encountered over time.

Artificial intelligence helps weave the selected cards, their orientations, their spread positions, and an optional question into readable prose. The cards and their authored meanings remain the symbolic source material. Generated readings are framed as tools for self-reflection, not factual predictions and not medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice. Safety boundaries are applied to consequential and crisis-related questions.

Runestone also publishes a public REST API, an OpenAPI specification, a remote Model Context Protocol server, and an npm CLI so responsible agents can offer the same reflective tools in other interfaces.
