Runestone Tarot collects information to provide you with a personalized reading experience:

Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and profile information through our authentication provider (Clerk).
Reading Data: We store your tarot readings, including cards drawn, questions asked, and AI-generated interpretations.
Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the service.
Cookies: We use cookies for authentication, preferences (audio settings), and anonymous visitor tracking.

How We Use Your Information

To generate personalized tarot readings
To save your reading history and card collection
To remember your preferences (audio, voice settings)
To improve and maintain the service

If you request a follow-up reading email, we use your verified account email to send that one message. We keep your request, reserved cards, delivery status, and cancellation preference. Your private questions and journal entries are not included in the email. You can cancel before sending or use its unsubscribe link. Requesting it does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Clerk: Authentication and account management
Anthropic (Claude): AI-powered reading generation
ElevenLabs: Text-to-speech narration
AWS: Hosting, data storage, and delivery of requested emails

Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.

Data Retention

Your reading history is retained indefinitely unless you request deletion. Anonymous visitor data is retained for 1 year. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
