The Tower

The Tower rises before us today like a structure we've been circling for a long time — one we built carefully, brick by brick, from beliefs we inherited, identities we performed, certainties we mistook for ground. There is something almost tender in that labor. We built because we needed shelter. But some of what we constructed was never truly ours, and today, the energy around us is less interested in maintaining appearances than in revealing what's actually standing.
When The Tower falls in the cards, it rarely feels like liberation in the moment — it feels like loss, like vertigo, like the floor vanishing mid-step. And yet the tower that collapses was never the home. It was the story we told about the home. Today invites us to sit with that distinction: what in our lives has been load-bearing truth, and what has been elaborate scaffolding built around a fear we didn't want to name? The lightning does not come to punish. It comes to illuminate.
There is something ancient and necessary in this energy — cultures across centuries have understood that certain destructions are sacred. The field must be cleared before new seed can find soil. We are not asked today to seek out catastrophe, but to stop bracing against the cracks already forming. What wants to fall may be clearing space for something we don't yet have language for — something truer, something ours.

The reversed whisper of The Tower today is the impulse to reinforce the walls — to renovate instead of raze, to reframe instead of release. We may find ourselves today confusing busyness with stability, and the gentle awareness is this: postponing a necessary ending does not make us safe; it makes the eventual reckoning louder.
