The Tower
Whatever was built on a lie comes down all at once, and it comes down fast.

Upright
Upright meaning
It goes in a single afternoon: the call, the discovery, the sentence you cannot unhear. The Tower does not dismantle anything carefully — it strikes what was built wrong and lets the rest come down. This is the crisis, and it is also the truth arriving at speed.
Lightning strikes a tall stone tower and knocks its crown clean off. Flames burst from three windows and two figures plunge headfirst toward the rocks, robes flying, crowned and falling all the same. Yod-shaped sparks of fire scatter down the black sky around them. The tower stood alone on a bare peak — nothing broke the strike.
Origins & Symbolism
The Tower echoes old images of catastrophe from on high — the biblical Babel struck down, proud building brought to ruin. The 1909 Rider-Waite-Smith card shows lightning knocking the crown off a tall tower, flames in three windows, two figures flung headlong, and yod-shaped sparks scattered down a black sky. It stands alone on a bare peak: what was built wrong meets sudden, clarifying collapse.
Reading It For Yourself
Do not soften this one — its job is to show what was built on a lie. Ask which structure in your life the lightning is aimed at. In a future position it warns of sudden upheaval; as advice, it says stop propping and stand clear. Reversed, you are delaying a collapse and raising its price. Rebuild nothing on the old foundation, and read the surrounding cards for what survives.
Love
A truth surfaces and the relationship as you understood it ends within the hour. An affair, a confession, a secret that reorganizes the past. What was real survives this. What was performance does not, and you will know which was which by tomorrow.
Career
The layoff, the funding collapse, the audit that finds exactly what you suspected. There is no version of this you manage smoothly, so stop trying — secure what you can, tell the truth early, let the rest fall. Rebuilding starts sooner than you expect.
Health
A sudden event forces the change you have been postponing. The body sends the notice when the warnings go unread.
Guidance
Do not rebuild on the same foundation. Stand clear, let it come down, and count what is still standing.
