The Hierophant does not arrive quietly. He comes robed in ceremony, in the slow accumulation of what has been learned and preserved and handed forward. Today we are invited to consider the lineages we carry — not just spiritual ones, but the teachings woven into how we move through the world. A parent's voice. A teacher who changed everything. The tradition we practice without remembering we chose it. These are the Hierophant's domain, and today he asks us to look at them clearly.
There is something tender in this card that is easy to miss beneath the formality. The Hierophant is not a gatekeeper — he is a bridge. He holds knowledge not to hoard it but to transmit it, to say: here is what I learned from those before me, let me place it gently in your hands. Today we may find ourselves on either side of that exchange — the one receiving guidance or the one quietly realizing we have become someone else's teacher, whether we claimed that role or not.
