Justice
Justice is the card of consequence — the moment the record is read back to you, exactly as it stands.

Upright
Upright meaning
The scales have already settled. Justice deals in consequence, not luck — what returns to you now was set in motion by your own hand. Face the ledger honestly and you will find it fair; argue with it and you will find it immovable.
A crowned figure sits between two pillars, an upraised sword in one hand and level scales in the other. The sword is double-edged and held straight up, tilted toward neither side. The veil behind conceals what the verdict rests on. Justice sees the whole record, including the parts you have quietly edited.
Origins & Symbolism
Justice descends from Justitia, the classical figure of law who holds level scales to weigh evidence and an upright double-edged sword to deliver the verdict. The 1909 Rider-Waite-Smith deck seats her crowned between two pillars, echoing the enthroned judge — her attributes the old iconography of impartial reckoning, consequence measured against the whole record rather than sentiment.
Reading It For Yourself
Notice which way the scales tip first. In a past position, Justice names a choice whose bill is now due; in an outcome slot, it forecasts a fair result rather than a lucky one. Ask what record you are being measured against. Reversed, look for the thumb on the scale — often your own — and match the read to a decision you can still make honest.
Love
Honesty is the whole assignment. This card asks whether the give and take is actually even, or only even in the story you tell about it. Old imbalances surface now — name them plainly and the relationship can hold them.
Career
Contracts, reviews, disputes, and audits resolve according to the record, not the argument. If your work has been sound, this is the fair outcome and the deserved promotion. If corners were cut, expect them counted. Read what you sign.
Health
Balance is literal here: hours worked against hours slept, indulgence against discipline. Your body has been keeping the ledger, and it is accurate.
Guidance
Tell the truth first, especially to yourself. A verdict is easier to carry when you helped write it honestly.
