Upright
Upright meaning
The board rearranges itself without your help — a call, an offer, a coincidence with unreasonable timing. Your position has changed and luck runs your way for now. Use the upswing while it lasts; it was never going to be permanent, and neither was the low stretch behind you.
A great wheel hangs in an open sky, lettered TARO and marked with the names of God. A serpent slides down the left side, a jackal-headed figure rises on the right, and a blue sphinx sits calm at the top with a sword across its knees. In the four corners, winged creatures read from open books. Everything turns except whatever holds still at the center.
Origins & Symbolism
The Wheel of Fortune is the medieval Rota Fortunae, the wheel that lifts kings up and casts them down without regard for merit. Smith's 1909 version letters it TARO, inscribes the name of God, and turns a serpent down one side while a jackal-headed figure rises the other, a calm sphinx at the top. Ten completes the cycle before it begins again.

Read this card as motion, not verdict — the situation is turning whether you like the direction or not. In a future slot it promises change and often luck; in a present slot the moment is fluid, so move now. Ask whether you are riding the turn or clinging to the old arrangement.
